Are you struggling to find the right food for your family?

  • You’re curious about which farms you can trust.

  • You’re not sure what questions to ask to get the information you need.

  • You want to connect with the farm, but you don’t want to be a pest.

  • You want to know more about how your food is produced, but you don’t know what all the terms mean.

You're right to be cautious.

Some farms lack the integrity you are counting on.

When a friend of mine was battling cancer, she needed 100% grassfed beef.
She started buying from this one meat farmer because he told her his beef was 100% grassfed.

But it wasn't. He was lying to her.

He bought calves at auction and he wasn't careful about what they ate. He had grain bags on the farm and, it turns out, he didn't treat his animals all that humanely either.

I quickly told my friend that she needed to find a different source. I gave her several open-ended questions to ask farmers before she started buying from them.

This got her a lot closer to her goal.

You want to TRUST your food

When I was just starting out trying to find the best food for MY family, I went to a lot of farmers markets, farm stands and farms.

I asked a LOT of questions and I learned a lot.

The first thing I learned was how important it is to ask a lot of questions.

20+ years later, I've been on hundreds of farms and seen the BEST and the WORST.
